General Responsibilities:
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements and close binders, prepare closing journal entries, account reconciliations, related analysis, and assist with preparation of SEC reporting requirements.
- Supervise accounts payable and payroll functions ensuring timely and accurate payments and fulfilling year end reporting requirements.
- Maintain timely and accurate fixed asset subsidiary ledger and prepare related journal entries in connection with the monthly close.
- Prepare and ensure all compliance matters and taxes are filed and reported timely.
- Responsible for daily cash management monitoring investments and reporting to ensure operating accounts are adequately funded.
- Maintain Equity Edge stock administration system ensuring timely and accurate entry of stock options and familiar with FAS 123R reporting requirements.
- Assist with implementation and responsible for all Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance related to the accounting function.
Experience Requirements:
Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting and CPA preferred. A minimum of 8-10 years related financial accounting experience, including supervising. Public company and Biotech Industry experience also preferred. Energetic, flexible team player with strong problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as impeccable time management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize, and streamline processes when needed. Strong work ethic and ability to handle confidential information as appropriate. Proficient with Great Plains, and Equity Edge. |
